Welcome to The Dog Ranch – a boutique doggy daycare and adventure playground. Furry friends of all sizes will love playing, exploring and socialising.
We specialise in boutique doggie daycare, adventures and walks. Sleep-overs are available for dogs who are enrolled in our day programme. Regular or casual canine care, as well as one-on-one training.
The Dog Ranch is a truly idyllic country estate situated in the beautiful rural area of Pahoia, 20 minutes north of Tauranga, towards the Omokoroa peninsula.
Ten acres of privately owned and fully fenced rolling paddocks and meadows, big shady trees, its own private and peaceful native forest, rest spots and even its own natural spring to take a dip! Over 1 acre of outdoor doggie playground specifically designed for adventures and play. Separate areas for smaller dogs. It is perfect for dogs of all sizes, big and small. An adventure at The Dog Ranch can be as busy or as relaxed as your dog wants it to be!
Dogs thrive in an environment that is loaded with the things they love to do. At The Dog Ranch, that’s our specialty! They have the freedom to run, off leash, in a very safe environment to explore, sniff, chase and socialise through mental and sensory stimulation. A total canine enrichment sanctuary. They will be at ease and free of fear or danger of –

No leads (for dogs with good recall)
Private, exclusive, holistic
Unlike public reserves and parks, our ten acres of prime land is totally dedicated to dog freedom. Safe, secure and fully supervised at all times.
Your dog will be collected from your home or office and returned after their adventure.
Expect him/her to be away 5-6 hours. Returned exercised, stimulated and exhausted so you get to relax and snuggle up with your pooch at the end of your busy day.
We offer free pick-up and drop off as part of our service. (You do not need to be home, private arrangements catered for).
All dogs must be registered and de-sexed
Vaccinated and up to date with all vaccines (DHPP, Leptospirosis, kennel cough)
Friendly, socialised dogs with basic command understanding

Simply email us here at The Dog Ranch and complete the questionnaire which provides specific details of your dog.
We will arrange a free meet and greet session with you and your dog, at your home, in their surroundings, where they are comfortable and at ease.
From there we can arrange to introduce your dog in a calm and assuring manner to other dogs in our care. Remember the pack numbers are small. This helps to ensure a calm and stress-free integration as they acquaint themselves with their new friends. All new dogs are monitored on a trial basis to ensure compatibility and to match dog’s personalities.
We do not accept all breeds unfortunately due to incompatibility. Please do not be offended on the basis of your dog’s breed. The pack fit is paramount. We welcome only dogs whose temperament is conducive to the enrichment, harmony and ethos of The Dog Ranch rulebook.
